Professionals with a background in Leather Science & Technology are eligible for membership of the association
Ordinary membership shall be open to all persons who are holders of Certificate, Diploma Bsc, Msc and Phd in leather science and Technology or post graduate diploma in leather or similar qualifications in leather related chemistry upon payment registration fee of kshs.1000 and an annual subscription of similar amount
Honorary membership may be offered to members of the Association or to non- leather technologist whom the Association deems to have rendered outstanding service to the leather profession in Kenya. Honorary membership shall be for life and shall be limited to a maximum of five (5) individuals at any one time. However; honorary members are exempted from payment of registration fee and annual subscription
Registration of Student membership shall be open to final year students attending undergraduate or post graduate programmes in leather technology/science course who have applied in writing to the Honorary Secretary of the KALTS for registration and upon payment of registration fee of kshs 200 only.
Corporate membership may be offered to organizations or bodies dealing with aspects of leather importance e.g. Tanners, leather chemical manufacturing Companies, Research Institutions, Parastatals, Universities, Non-governmental Organizations dealing with Leather Issues upon payment of registration fee of kshs.10, 000 and annual subscription of similar amount.
