Kenya Association of Leather Technologists and Scientists (KALTS) is a Technical Professional body duly registered under the Societies Act, Cap 108 Laws Kenya as a membership organization of Leather Technologists and Scientists. The organization was registered and allotted a Certificate of Registration No. 48868. On 29th November, 2016.
This is a specialized occupation, practice and vocation that possesses a masterly of complex set of Leather Industry knowledge and skills acquired through formal education and practical experience and which is governed by the Kenya Association of Leather Technologists and Scientists (KALTS).
Planning the work to be done, setting KALTS smart objectives and targets, developing activity programmes, implementing the programmes, monitoring and evaluating the progress as well as proposing corrective measures
To be a Leather Professional Body recognized nationally and globally.
To facilitate growth in the Leather Industry Profession through sustainable interventions.
To maintain the honour, ethics, dignity of the Leather Profession by encouraging maintenance of high ethical standards by members.
To enhance innovations, research and development in leather industry.
To offer technical/technological and scientific support to vocational training institutions, middle level training institutions, universities training in the area of Leather processing and assembling of footwear and leather goods
